We will be having three "styles" of camps this year. 4 weeks will be the regular technique camps that our campers have always enjoyed with big, little and in between all gracing the space together. 3 weeks will be just the little guys (best for those who are a bit intimidated by the big guys) The other two will be Nutcracker Camps and will be split up into 9-15 year olds and 12 and up.

Pre School only Camp

Camp will run in 1 week sessions.
Dates: June 18-July 6
Cost: $75 half day, $200 full day
Time: 9:30am-12:00pm or 9:30-4:30

Description: Campers will enjoy a fun filled morning with a myriad of creativity including, but not limited to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics. The afternoon will be filled with quiet time/ nap, art, crafts, etc.

****the week of July 4, please note that we will not have camp on July 4 and the cost of the week is $60 half day or $160 for the full day.

Clara Intensive

Age: 9-15 Cost: $200 Time: 9:30-4:30 Date: July 9-13

Description: Campers will be exposed to Acting, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern and contact. During this camp, we will make decisions for the 2012 Clara.

Soloist Intensive

Age: 12-18 Cost: $200 Time: 9:30-4:30 Date: August 13-17

Description: Campers will be exposed to Acting, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern and partnering. During this camp, we will make decisions for the 2012 Nutcracker Soloists.

Technique Intensive

We have summer camps for ages 3-18. They are fun filled opportunities for your dancer to learn more than they ever could at another camp. CMSD's camps have been described as more educational than a New York dance intensive and more fun than a recreational sleep away camp, and it is available right in your area! We have three tiers of camps that allow your dancer to fill their summer in the way that best suits their ability. The summer will conclude with a summer showcase, where all campers will have the opportunity to show off their newly learned skills.

Ages 3-6

Camp will run in 1 week sessions.
Dates: July 16-August 10
Cost: $75 half day, $200 full day

Ages 7-10

Camp will run in 1 week sessions.
Dates: July 16-August 10
Cost: $200/ week $750/ 4 weeks with free early drop off
Time: 9:30am-4:30pm (early and late drop off/pick ups available $5 each/day) Description: Campers will enjoy a fun filled day with a myriad of dance forms including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, etc.

Ages 10-15

This camp is a 1 to 4 week session.
Dates: July 16-August 10
Cost: $250/1 week $750/ 4 weeks
Time: 8am-6pm
Description: This is a three part camp. Campers learn the ins and outs of putting together a performance, including sewing costumes, choreographing and music choice, etc and put them to use. They will learn how to teach and will have the opportunity to assist classes. They will take a number of technique classes each week that will allow them to advance quickly in dance. This camp is designed to be repeated summer after summer and is most rewarding to second and third year campers. Studio assistants are chosen from campers who have successfully participated in this camp. Student teachers are not considered until they have successfully participated in at least 3 summers of this camp, as important information is studied and explored during their time in the camp.

Ages 14-18

Camp is offered in one week sessions and is limited to two campers a week. Please apply via email with an essay explaining what you hope to gain from this experience and what you think you can bring to the camp.
Dates: July 16-August 10
Cost: $75 per week
Time: 8am-6pm
Description: This is a two part camp. Campers will take 4.5 hours of class during the day and assist head teachers during the rest of the day as an opportunity to become teachers themselves. These campers will be guided to become well rounded dancers and teachers and will be expected to maintain themselves in a professional manner at all times.

CLASSES (Starting June 19) $15 drop ins or $100/8 weeks

Preschool 1/2 combo: Mon and Thurs 10:30-11:30

Adult Modern: Tuesday 6-7:30

Adult Ballet: Wednesday 6-7:30

Adult Jazz/Tap Combo: Thursday 6-7:30
